Lindsay Cloud of Leesburg was elected chair of the Highland County Chamber of Commerce board of directors in 2022.
Cloud was elected to the chamber’s board of directors in 2019 and is currently CFO, chief marketing officer and secretary of the board of directors of Southern Hills Community Bank. She is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Masters in Accounting and Financial Management. She enjoys her banking career and has held various positions with Southern Hills Community Bank in Leesburg for over 17 years.
“My motivation for joining the Highland County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was to meet other business people, get involved in the community and help the chamber carry out its mission of ‘to be an active advocate and resource for the business community,’ Cloud mentioned. “I love to see the people and businesses in the small communities of Highland County thrive. “
Cloud served as Chairman of the House Annual Dinner Committee in 2021 and enjoyed seeing the community come together for a successful event after a very difficult 2020 for all businesses. In addition to her banking role, she is active in the Ohio Bankers League (OBL) and sits on the OBL’s Next Generation Advisory Board.
Cloud grew up on a farm east of Greenfield in Ross County and has been active in 4-H and sports throughout his youth. She graduated from McClain High School and decided to return to the area after graduating from college. She now resides in Highland County and lives on a farm with her husband, Jeff, and their three children, Tanner, Harlee and Avarey.
