As the new board member of Chautauqua Rails to Trails, Patrick Johnson, an avid long-distance cyclist, has organized three bike tours of which Clymer is the destination.
The first ride will be Saturday, September 25 at 8:30 a.m. from the Corry Junction Greenway trailhead in Corry, PA. The ride will use 6.6 miles of the Corry Junction Greenway trailhead and end at the Dutch Village restaurant in Clymer for breakfast.
Two trips will take place on Saturday October 2. The first trip will depart from the Ryder’s Cup restaurant in Lakewood at 8:30 am and use roads to Clymer (19 miles one way). The second ride leaves Sherman from the Chautauqua Rails to Trails trailhead at Village Park on Franklin Street at 9 a.m. and is 11 miles one way. It will also use roads due to the fact that the railroad between Sherman and Clymer is not viable at this time.
All runners will be responsible for the purchase of breakfast and the means to return to their respective communities. Interested runners should text Johnson at 716-640-4405 so he can answer questions and give a count to the Dutch Village restaurant.
